Welcome to our services this Sunday, particularly if you are here for the first time. Do make yourself known to the clergy after the service and if it's after the 10am stay for coffee/tea.

NO CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNION: Please note that there will NO SERVICE on Wednesday evening, it will return in October.

 

BOOK AND CAKE SALE REPORT: A HUGE “THANK YOU!” to everyone who volunteered with making cakes, setting up on Friday, the sale and clear out on Saturday, it simply wouldn’t happen without those dedicated people who all worked so hard, it was very much appreciated. The Sale raised a total of £1852.55 – of which £1627.05 was just from the sale of books, that is a £500 increase over last year’s sale.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Friday 12th September, 7 p.m.:  A Service of Anchoring to commence the period of our parishioner living as an Anchorite.  During this service, much of the original medieval liturgy will be used and has been adapted to celebrate an Anchorite in the 21st Century. Please join us and pray for our Anchoress and all whom she encounters.

 

Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 September, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., daily.  An Anchoress in residence.  St Anne’s has a 13th-century anchorite’s cell. A parishioner has offered to live as an anchoress during this time and be available for conversation, singing, prayer and sponsoring.

 

Saturday 6th to Sunday 21st September, Fri-Sun 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Anchored in Silence: Artwave exhibition of sculpture and installations.

 

HARVEST LUNCH, 28th September, 11:30 a.m.: If you would like to take part in the Harvest lunch, please sign your name on the sheet at the back of the Church. If you have any queries, please speak to Jackie.
