THE SAINT FRANCIS TALKS: A series of four talks about St. Francis of Assisi in memory of Pamela Tudor-Craig, Art Historian and Medievalist. Talks start at 7pm, and will take place in St. Anne's Church:
7th September - 'Nature Mysticism' [Reverend Ben Brown] 14th September -'Images of Saint Francis'' [Peter Shears]
21st September- 'The Saint, the Sufis and Preaching to the Birds [Josie Alwyn] 28th September - 'The Curious Case of the Canticle' [Josie Alwyn]
FUNDRAISING ST MARY’S CHURCH HALL: “Putting it Together” from audition to stage, an informal evening with Philip Griffiths. Our next event is on Friday 25th September, 7pm at St Anne’s. Entry is free but donations are welcome and can be gift aided. There will be light refreshments.
SUSSEX HISTORIC CHURCHES RIDE AND STRIDE is taking place on Saturday Sept 12th, 9am to 5pm. It is an opportunity to visit ancient Sussex churches by foot or bicycle. Money raised goes to the churches. If you would like to take part visit the website, Sussexhistoricchurchestrust.org.uk. and talk to Mary-Rose and Peter, who are doing online sponsorship and Jane who has a sponsorship form.
FAMILY SUPPORT WORK are in need of Toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and Cleaning Products: Bleach, antibacterial spray, wipes and washing detergent. Please ensure products are new, complete, and in original packaging. If you could donate any of these then we'd be most grateful.
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - Our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
