Mystical Dimensions of John's Gospel: A Course for Lent led by Rev’d Ben Brown
Wednesdays at 7pm.
25th February: In the beginning was the word. We look at the opening chapter of the Gospel.
March 4th: The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water. This session is a chance to reflect on the implications for our spiritual discipleship as we consider Jesus' conversation with a woman at a well.
March 11th: You will never wash my feet. We reflect on the symbolic importance of Jesus' washing of his disciples' feet. (
March 18th: Abiding and Indwelling. In our final evening we consider the importance of these two concepts, abiding and indwelling, and what it means for our own experience of God.
PREPARATION FOR REVISING THE ELECTORAL ROLL 2026: Members of the congregation whose names are on the current Electoral Roll DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE ANOTHER FORM, only those members of the congregation whose names are not on the current Electoral Roll, but wish to have their name added to the new one, should complete a form, which will be available from Sunday 8th March in a brown envelope on the Font. The current Electoral Roll is posted on the notice board at the back of the church for reference. If you have any questions about the process please ask Richard Saunders, Electoral Roll Officer. Thank you.
CHARITABLE GIVING: For many years St Anne’s has supported The Steve Willis Memorial Fund each month. The PCC has been looking at different aspects of our charitable giving supporting both local and international charities. It has been decided to stop Caring and Sharing donations and along with Family Support Work this year St Anne’s will be supporting the Prison Fellowship as the Church has strong links with Lewes Prison. There will be a monthly collection on the second Sunday of each month. There are leaflets giving further information on the Prison Fellowship at the back of the church. In Christ’s words ‘I was in prison and you visited me’.
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - Our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
ONLINE AND CARD TRANSACTIONS: Donations can also be made through our website (the DONATE button is in the top right-hand corner of every page).
