SOUL AND SPIRIT – AN EXPLORATION OF HYMNS AND HYMN SINGING: How does hymn singing help us praise God and Creation? What forms of love do we encounter in some of our best-known hymns? And how can we use the words and tunes of our favourite hymns to help us as we journey through the challenges of everyday life? These are some of the questions we'll be asking on Mondays in November as Philip Griffiths and Peter Shears lead a four week course exploring hymns of love [Monday 2nd November], hymns of praise and wonder [Monday 9th November] and hymns of journeying and encounter [Monday 16th November]. The final session on Monday 23rd November will be for us to share our favourite hymns and to say why they're special to us. And the course will conclude with a special Hymns of Praise service which will feature hymns chosen by everyone who has taken part in the course.
All sessions run from 10-11.30 am and take place at St. Anne's. See Peter or Philip for more information or email Peter on peter.shears3@btinternet.com
