THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK. In our morning prayer readings we had Moses meeting God in the burning bush in Exodus. God tells Moses the divine name. 'I AM WHO I AM' (3:14). The divine name is also the name of each of us. We can all say, 'I am.' This knowledge that God is not distant but is the foundation of our identity can give to us a new depth and purpose to the struggles of daily life. We are not separate from God, we participate in the divine nature.
