CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNION SERVICE this Wednesday 11th, 7pm: Come to the first of our new monthly contemplative services of Holy Communion. An opportunity to experience this act of worship with more silence and stillness around word and action.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ON 20th, 21st and 23rd September for Book Sale: We will need a team of volunteers to help put the books out on Friday 20th and to help with the sale on Saturday 21st (also possibly after to put books away under pews). We also need help on Monday 23rd to remove books from church to be loaded into a van for transportation to Raystede. If you can volunteer please speak to Ashley (01273 409410 or email ashley.price@sky.com).
HARVEST: Our Harvest celebration will be on the 29th September with a Lunch after the service. There is a form at the back of church, so please add your name if you would like to attend, so we can have a sense of numbers. The lunch is free but donations very gratefully accepted. For any information, speak to Jackie.
WORKS ON THE CHURCH: You'll see that we are having works done on the church building; this is an opportunity to do much needed restoration on parts of the roof and the church guttering. The works are vital for making St. Anne's a building which is fit for worship now and in the future. The works should be finished before Christmas.
NEW SPIRITUAL LENDING LIBRARY: From this Sunday there are a small selection of books which have been specially selected to deepen prayer and spiritual discipleship. If you would like to borrow one of these books please talk to our churchwardens, Ashley or Mary-Rose.
ST ANNE'S OPENING TIMES: A reminder that the Church is open Monday to Saturday from 9:15 until 4pm for people to come in and explore the church or to spend some quiet time. (Times when church is open may vary depending on services and other events.)
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - Our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
