Tim Locke Christians, Jews, and the Holocaust: a family’s journey through uncertainty
Tim Locke is a Lewes-based writer and editor, whose mother Ruth Neumeyer and her brother came to the UK by Kindertransport in 1939. When she died in 2012, she left a family archive that will shortly be deposited in the Imperial War Museum. Tim will draw on this material to talk about family life in Germany under National Socialism, the consequences of religious and racial intolerance, whether others help or stand by, the recovery from persecution, and the treatment of refugees from Nazism. FREE TOMATO PLANTS
Ashley has grown too many tomato plants – by about 40! Rather than composting them, he wonders if any of the congregation would like one or two for FREE. Ashley lives at 23 North Way (on the Nevill Estate). It is on a first come first served basis. You can call, email or text (07798 648924) Ashley to check a good time to go.
The Church website – www.stanneslewes.org.uk – has a diary, showing all the dates of things happening within the church. Click on "What's On" and select "Diary".
