Today we are celebrating St Anne's Church and our links with our local community and the opening of our extension. You are all welcome to stay for refreshments after the service.
EVENSONG – Tonight: We will be holding our regular service of evensong at 6:30pm. Do join us for this special service of music, prayer and reflection. (Please note: there is no Evensong in August.)
THANK YOU! A huge thank you to everyone who helped with last Sunday's celebration of our church extension. For those who worked to make the church look so beautiful and to those who helped serve drinks and food with such style and then to all who helped clear up afterwards. It was a wonderful day with a spiritually serious service at its centre and a real sense of celebration.
SILENT PRAYER IN THE SUMMER. We will have two more services of silent prayer for this season, Tues 1st and 8th August at 7pm. Silent prayer will then go on holiday and return on Tues the 5th of September. On Tuesday 8th August there will be unsilent Summer drinks after the 7pm service.
RIDE AND STRIDE FUNDRAISER Sussex Historic Churches Trust, Saturday 9th September (9am-5pm): St Anne's gets HALF of any money we raise. We are looking for Riders/Walkers to take part. Also sponsors and recorders (one hour). For more, speak to Diana (01273 474964).
BOOKS! We are NOT holding a Book Sale this year, but paperback novels (in good condition) are always welcome! Money raised from the sale of books helps to pay for repairs to the church.
CARING AND SHARING: Every month we do a "Caring and Sharing" collection for the Steve Willis Memorial Fund which helps to build boreholes in places like Kampala, Uganda. You can see the latest newsletter on the noticeboard at the back of the church.
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - This is a reminder that our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
ONLINE AND CARD TRANSACTIONS: Donations can also be made through our website (the DONATE button is in the top right-hand corner of every page).
