TODAY we combine two different aspects of our church life. We celebrate the feast of Michael and All Angels, and we will be reflecting on the story of Jacob's ladder, Jacob's vision of how earth and heaven are not separate but interconnected. In our hymns and our prayers, and in the food we have donated to Family Support Work, we celebrate our Harvest Festival. Today is a day for both earth and heaven.

HARVEST: The lunch will be after the 10am service. Later today is our service of Evensong at 6:30pm.

LAST WEEK’S BOOK SALE RESULT: I am very pleased to announce the Sale brought in just over £1000! A big thank you to everyone who donated or bought books and to all the volunteers (including those who are not members of our congregation) who helped on Friday and Saturday.

COFFEE MORNING, Thursday (3rd): Do join us for our coffee morning at 10am.

FRIENDS OF ST. ANNE’S AGM, Sunday 6th October, 3pm. A talk by Christopher Whittick on “Lewes Prison”. There will then be a short break for refreshments before the AGM starts. (There will be free parking in County Hall – behind St. Anne’s.) All welcome.

PRAYER AT ST. ANNE'S. Morning Prayer has been well attended over the last few weeks. If you have been before, or never been, do join us. Mon-Fri 9:15am. Silent prayer continues on Tuesday the 1st of October at 7pm. If you have been before, or never been, join us for a time of depth prayer.

MORE HELPERS FOR TEA/COFFEE ROTA: We are looking for more volunteers to help with making/serving the refreshments after the 10am service. Speak to Jackie or Jane for more information.

THANK YOU: We would like to thank all those who have helped with Harvest, including those who have prepared the lunch, the cleaners and those who have done the flowers. It is so nice to know we have such wonderful volunteers,.

ST ANNE'S OPENING TIMES: A reminder that the Church is open Monday to Saturday from 9:15 until 4pm for people to come in and explore the church or to spend some quiet time. (Times when church is open may vary depending on services and other events.)

Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
