TODAY: ELIZABETH MANDEVILLE: After the 10am service there will be drinks and nibbles to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Mandeville. She was a long time member of the congregation and a former Churchwarden. Her husband, Mike Jones, invites you all to join him for a drink to remember his wife.

THE WORLD MADE STRANGE. Do join us for our third session on the sayings and parables of Jesus on Thursday the 18th of July at Church House (St. Michael's Church Hall). 7pm. 'Abundance and Loss' The Parable of the Talents. Matthew 25:14-30

 

CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNION: We will be having another of our services of communion with more space for silence and stillness at St. Anne's, Wednesday the 24th of July at 7pm.

 

EVENSONG at St. Anne's: Our next service of Evensong will be on the 28th of July at 6:30pm.

 

F.S.W.: URGENT: F.S.W. are assisting a mother and four children, fleeing domestic abuse and in emergency accommodation. They are in need of the following: vacuum cleaner, mop/bucket, clothes airers, tea towels, jugs/bowls etc., storage for clothes, hanging rails or chests of drawers, hangers, seating (they have one small sofa), children’s size table and chairs (for toddlers to eat at), TV, kitchen items (pots and pans, baking trays, cutlery, crockery, children’s crockery), Buggy board. Another family in a similar position moving to an unfurnished flat looking for: double bed, lounge seating. CHRIST CHURCH THINKTANK, Wednesday 17 July 2024, 7:30–9pm. Peter Shears – Art and Faith in the 21st Century: At a time when many people find art more accessible than religion, Peter will consider the place of the artist in bringing together churchgoers and non-churchgoers in talking about the spiritual in everyday existence.

 

ST ANNE'S OPENING TIMES: A reminder that the Church is open Monday to Saturday from 9:15 until 4pm for people to come in and explore the church or to spend some quiet time. (Times when church is open may vary depending on services and other events.)
