NEW LENT COURSES: During Lent we will have two courses:
On Monday Mornings Peter will be leading 'Reading the Psalms'. A course to deepen our awareness and understanding of the Psalms and how meditating on them and praying with them enriches our relationship with God. Dates: Monday the 17th, 24th, 31st of March and Monday the 14th of April. 10am St. Anne's.
On Thursday Evenings Ben will be giving four talks. Mysticism for Beginners: who the mystics were and why mysticism matters. Dates: Thursday the 20th, 27th of March and the 3rd and 10th of April. 7pm Note: At St. Michael's Church.
PREPARATION OF THE NEW ELECTORAL ROLL: Every six years a new Electoral Roll must be created, 2025 is the year when this will happen. Everyone in the congregation who regularly attends St. Anne's must complete a new form in order to have their name and address entered on the New Electoral Roll. You can complete a form whether or not you live in Lewes. Please consider entering your details when the forms are available from next Sunday 9th March. These will be in a box on the Font.
ST ANNE’S HISTORIC FLINT WALL APPEAL: Our magnificent wall is in need of urgent repairs. You will have noticed there are a number of patches where the attractive square knapped flint work has fallen away, with other areas exhibiting a degree of ‘bulge’. Additionally there is concern that the Holm oak and other vegetation is exacerbating the situation. We are obtains quotes from flint wall specialists and a tree surgeon. The likely estimate is £20,000 and possibly more. Please could anyone with expertise or ideas about fundraising, talk to Ben, Mary-Rose or Ashley.
ST ANNE'S WEBSITE: www.stanneslewes.org.uk - Our website offers resources for our growth in discipleship. On the website you can now find recent sermons collated in one place under the tag sermons. Also, we have a regular slot called Spiritual Reflections which aims to look at questions of faith in a fresh, imaginative way. Contact Ashley or Ben if you can't find the content.
